Choose the voice that matches your relationship instead of collecting several impressive phrases.
A useful structure is the preferred name, one central message and an optional date or service period. An illustrative draft might read: “Morgan / Thank you for showing us how / Your team.” This is a wording example, not a claim about a customer order or a fixed engraving layout.
If a committee is contributing, ask everyone for one memory before drafting. Find the common theme, then let one person turn it into a short inscription. Combining every suggested sentence can bury the message that matters most.
Match the message to the gift
A recognition award is a direction to discuss when the inscription is the centerpiece. Personalized pens suggest a shorter approach, such as a name or initials. The actual design depends on the selected item and confirmed engraving area.

Check dates before polishing the typography
